Many people who use the internet are quite frankly obsessed with finding the best deal. That in itself is a good thing as you can find some great household saver on the internet. But when it comes to the point that they are spending their whole life scouring the internet across hundreds of retailers, then it stops being useful.
As with most things in life it is about moderation. After you have used online shopping for a while you get to know the retailers who consistently offer the best deals and the best service, and those which have money off offers on a regular basis.
It is better to have a decent short list of companies that you always turn too, rather than a scatter gun approach of always choosing those retailers who have the best offer at the time, especially if it is an online site you have never used before.
There is also the danger of giving out your personal details – not least your credit card details – to dozens of shops rather than a small handful and it is also easier to track orders and view past purchases if you limit your suppliers.
It is a matter of personal choice – some people will always try to save that last penny, but I find that I return to internet shops which offer great service and overall low pricing time and time again.
